Trier, Germany's oldest city, is about 45 minutes' drive from the Hambachtal vacation resort. This town lies on the banks of the Moselle, which splits the city into halves. In the old city center, you will find several historic buildings that give the city a unique atmosphere. The large market of Trier is one of the most beautiful city squares in Germany, and it's surrounded by buildings in different historical styles. In Trier, you can soak up culture and learn more about German history, but of course, you can also do some serious shopping. Take your time for this outing and take the wine route along the Moselle. Then you can enjoy the real vacation experience with beautiful views.
