About the accommodation
A home away from home in the green Hambachtal, for a group of six
In this semi-detached bungalow of around 82 square metres, a group of six will find exactly what's needed for a relaxing holiday. The living room is the central spot where you gather in the evenings: comfortably furnished, with a flatscreen TV for some downtime after a day outdoors. The open kitchen connects seamlessly and is fully equipped for six people. You cook on a four-burner stove and have access to a fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle and a filter coffee machine. The first coffee of the day is ready in no time.
The bungalow has three bedrooms. On the ground floor there's a child-friendly bedroom with a bunk bed, although some bungalows have two single beds here instead. Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms, each with two single beds. For sanitary facilities there are two toilets: a separate one on the ground floor and a shower-toilet combination upstairs. In some bungalows a bath is also available. Outside, a private terrace with garden furniture awaits, perfect for a quiet breakfast or a glass of wine at the end of the day. Parking is available close to the property. Please note: the park is set in a hilly landscape with differences in elevation, so stairs are unavoidable. Keep this in mind when booking.
Ferienpark Hambachtal: relax in the German countryside
Ferienpark Hambachtal is a lively holiday park where peace and entertainment go hand in hand. Children have a great time in the indoor play paradise or the games hall, while adults can unwind on the terrace of the park restaurant. A round of minigolf or an evening of bowling rounds off the day nicely. The park also offers organised activities and excursions through Activity Planet. The swimming pool at Ferienpark Hambachtal is currently closed and is expected to remain out of use for the time being. The sauna is no longer available. Various other activities and recreational options can still be found in and around the park.
The surrounding area: plenty to discover
Ferienpark Hambachtal is an excellent base for anyone who loves nature. The surrounding region is hilly, with extensive forests, quiet valleys and a landscape that invites walking and cycling. There's an endless network of routes here, from short forest walks to multi-day hikes through wooded nature areas. The surroundings are green, varied and remarkably peaceful.
If you fancy a day trip, there's plenty of choice. Trier, Germany's oldest city, lies on the Moselle and draws visitors with its impressive Roman heritage, including the Porta Nigra, a lively town centre and an appealing selection of terraces. Saarburg is a charming town with narrow historic streets and a waterfall running right through its centre. Idar-Oberstein is known for its centuries-old tradition in gemstones and jewellery, with museums, workshops and a remarkable church literally built into the rock face. The Bostalsee, a recreational lake nearby, offers space to walk, relax and take in the surroundings. The combination of nature, culture and tranquillity makes this region a destination with surprises in store, even on a second visit.
